September Outing – Awhitu Regional Park

Ben and Kiri Tremiwan are organising the next club run. This will be to Awhitu Regional Park, Awhitu.
We will be meeting up at the BP Services, Drury (side of the Motorway heading south) at 10:00am 10 September 2023 and will look to heading off to Awhitu around 10:30.
The trip is close enough to 60km and will probably take about an hour to get there. The roads have been checked and there are no notable slips or road works – a few hills but nothing that our cars can’t handle.
Once there we will have a BBQ lunch similar to the AGM using the BBQ’s located at the Regional Park. The club will provide meat and salad, please bring your own drinks, and also any shared dishes for the table.
There is good beach for the beachcombers amongst us or perhaps have a look at an eel farm where you could almost walk on water with the amount of eels or maybe just hang around and talk with each other about everything Morris.
