Christmas Run to Swanson RSA

On 7th December we had a great run out to the Swanson RSA for the Christmas lunch.

We met at the Datacom building near the Viaduct Basin in downtown Auckland. From there, we pootled across the harbor bridge, North through Albany, and then around the North West via Coatesville and Riverhead. We took some nice scenic back roads through Taupaki and Waitakere, and eventually arrived at the Swanson RSA. I think some of the roads around Taupaki were a little more scenic than anticipated due to a missed turn, but the weather was lovely and everyone enjoyed a nice drive.

The buffet lunch at the RSA was busy but excellent, and everyone had a great catchup. We had a minor issue of a failed SU fuel pump when it came time to leave after lunch, but thanks to some great team-work with everyone’s assorted spare parts and tools, a spare pump was fitted and everyone was able to proceed!
